About us

Cinequant is a young startup founded in end-2011 by Nicolas Grislain and Vincent Lepage. Cinequant is specialized in the collection, modeling and smart reporting of information both private and public (Internet, Twitter, open-data...) for businesses willing to improve the knowledge of their environment (market, customers) in real-time.

These services rely on a technology developed and hosted by Cinequant, including three functional pillars:

  • a set of tools to automatically collect and store data, whether private or public data;
  • statistical models using this data to extract relevant information or build forcasts;
  • interfaces which return results continuously in the form of dashboards, using current web technologies (Django framework, AJAX, jQuery ...).

In a word, Cinequant sells to its clients access to a web-service providing high-end, tailor-made, real-time business intelligence.

The Team

Nicolas Grislain

Nicolas was a senior quantitative risk manager in charge of a risk-modeling team in a leading French bank (Société Générale). He is also a former expert at the French Treasury on economic policy and debt issues. He graduated from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (major in Mathematics) and from the École Nationale de Statistique et de l'Administration Économique (major in Financial Engineering) in 2006.

Vincent Lepage

Vincent is a former expert and head of the international debt division at the French Treasury. He graduated from the École Polytechnique in 2004 (majored in Math and Computer Science) and from the École Nationale Supérieur des Télécoms de Paris (IT). Prior to joining the Treasury, he worked in a Canadian startup as a Java developer and as a consultant for IT infrastructure in NYC.
